Mission raftaar: Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat and Shatabdi trains set to reach 160 kmph speed – Times of India
MUMBAI: Vande Bharat and Shatabdi trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad are likely to hit 160 kmph by August 15. The Railway Board has directed the Mumbai and Vadodara divisions to finish necessary work by June 30.
Mission Raftaar
- It is a project by Indian Railways to increase the speed of trains on busy routes
- Railway Board has asked Mumbai and Vadodara divisions to undertake confirmatory oscillograph car runs (COCR; done for increasing train speeds to above 120 kmph)
- It has also directed divisional railway managers (DRMs) to complete necessary track blocks and all pending work.
