Hyderabad: A 26-year-old employee of an air-conditioning company died under suspicious circumstances after a prolonged party with friends in Hyderabad. The deceased, identified as Harshavardhan, hailed from Vizianagaram and was working as a senior executive at the company’s Secunderabad office.According to police, Harshavardhan attended a party at a pub in Kondapur on the night of May 24, where he and his friends consumed alcohol until around 1.30 am on Sunday. The group then moved to a friend’s flat in Kondapur and continued drinking until 4.30 am.Around that time, Harshavardhan reportedly began vomiting and suddenly lost consciousness. His friends rushed him to a hospital in Gachibowli, but he was declared dead around 9 am.“We suspect severe dehydration and a possible underlying medical condition. However, the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report is released. The body has been sent for autopsy,” said Raidurgam inspector Ch Venkanna.Police have registered a case under section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are continuing their investigation.
