‘Cong using KRMB probe as cover-up’ | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Alleging that notices to former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the Kaleshwaram one-man commission inquiry led by Justice (Retd) PC Ghose are part of Congress’ politics under the guise of a commission, BRS working president KT Rama Rao has said these notices are nothing but a cover-up for their own (Congress party’s) corrupt agenda.During an informal interaction with reporters, he said the smear campaign against the Palamuru-Rangareddy project was already dismissed after the Supreme Court’s observations. “Soon, the same will happen with the propaganda against Kaleshwaram. The real motive behind these notices is to cancel and re-tender projects to collect 20–30% commissions,” he alleged.“The Justice PC Ghose commission said it completed its inquiry and report. Why is the deadline being extended again? The govt must answer?” the BRS leader questioned, adding the party was yet to received formal notices on Kaleshwaram. The working president said even the Supreme Court and Central Water Commission recognised the engineering significance of Kaleshwaram. “But the ignorant chief minister fails to see what experts across the country have already acknowledged,” he said.KTR criticised chief minister A Revanth Reddy for taking different tones on the same issue every other day. He alleged that the CM appears to be suffering from multiple personality disorder. He said more than 580 farmers had committed suicide in the state and paddy was being washed away due to unseasonal rains. But the CM was busy with other issues instead of visiting the families of the deceased.“He says the state is bankrupt and does not have money and is not even getting money from outside. But he spends hundreds of crores on events,” the BRS leader said.KTR said the state govt was using various events to distract the public from pressing governance failures. “While SLBC tunnel workers remain trapped for months, the chief minister parades on red carpets. This is a betrayal of Telangana’s people and priorities,” he added.
