Eknath Shinde Attributes Mahayuti Assembly Victory to Welfare Initiatives | Mumbai News – Times of India

THANE:Deputy CM and Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde attributed the Mahayuti victory in the 2024 Assembly elections solely to the welfare works launched and executed during his tenure as the CM. Shinde was addressing newly inducted party workers, including members of a wrestlers’ association from Katraj, Pune, at Thane on Friday night.“When I took over as the CM, I resolved to make decisions for the welfare of citizens from all segments, including my laadki bahin, bhau, senior citizens, and farmers, and I was able to successfully deliver it. The voters also stood by my works as the CM and helped our Mahayuti win with a landslide victory in the Assembly polls,” he said.Shinde said he followed Balasaheb Thackeray’s teachings of fulfilling promises given to citizens at any cost. “Balasaheb used to say that you should take time to give a promise, but once you commit, you have to fulfil it,” he said.Meanwhile, Shinde said he preferred to remain accessible during his 2.5 years as CM and didn’t believe in having controlled access, unlike others, taking a veiled dig at Uddhav Thackeray.
