CLAT counselling 2025: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially commenced the registration process for CLAT 2025 undergraduate admissions counselling. Eligible candidates who have been invited can now register for the admissions counselling process at the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The registration window opened on May 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM and will remain open until 5:00 PM on May 21, 2025.This counselling process is applicable for admissions to the five-year integrated undergraduate law programmes offered by participating NLUs. The first allotment list will be published on May 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and the seat allotment will proceed through three counselling rounds.Eligibility and registration requirementsOnly candidates who have received an invitation via email, SMS, and the CLAT 2025 portal are eligible to participate in the counselling process. These candidates must log in to their CLAT accounts to confirm their eligibility and complete the two-step registration process: updating NLU preferences and paying the counselling registration fee.Candidates who had already registered and paid the fee earlier need not register again but may update their NLU preferences before the deadline. A full refund of the counselling fee will be processed for those who paid but were found ineligible based on the updated results.The registration fee is Rs 30,000 for General category candidates and Rs 20,000 for ST/SC/OBC/BC/EWS/PwD category candidates. The fee is refundable under certain conditions as outlined by the Consortium.

Refund and document requirements
Candidates who are not allotted any seat by the end of the third round or choose to exit before June 9, 2025 (1:00 PM) are eligible for a full refund. Late exits or ineligible cases will attract a deduction of ?5,000.Essential documents required include mark sheets of Class 10 and 12, CLAT admit card, transfer certificate, caste or category certificates, and domicile certificates, among others.
