Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao has said there is a limit to patience and tolerance, and the country patiently endured for many years, but now our security must take precedence.Speaking at a programme organised to express solidarity with the Indian armed forcesat Mallareddy Health City, Suraram, on Saturday, Harish Rao said the recent killing of tourists, after identifying their religion, deeply shook the nation’s conscience. At a critical time like this, every young man and woman in the country must be prepared to make sacrifices, he added.Lauding the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers, he said, “Our soldiers not only guard geographical borders, but also protect the safety and future of our country.We feel immense pride seeing their dedication.”Harish Rao highlighted Pakistan’s role in promoting terrorism, recalling the infamousMumbai attackson the Taj Hotel, where Pakistan-backed terrorists inflicted severe pain. “India repeatedly exposed Pakistan’s culpability at international forums. Even powerful nations like the US experienced terror originating from Pakistani soil,” he added.”Attacking terrorist bases is a justified response when our nation is targeted repeatedly. If war becomes inevitable, institutions like Mallareddy Health University must step forward to provide medical support.We must all be ready to donate blood and extend medical services to our brave soldiers,” he emphasized.The ex-minister appreciated Malla Reddy and Qutbullapur MLA KP Vivekananda Goud for organising the event, reinforcing the collective responsibility to supportsoldiers’ families. “The families of our soldiers are the nation’s responsibility; we must protect and care for them like our own,” he asserted.
