Koraput: To boost passenger safety and speed up infrastructure development, East Coast Railway (ECoR) general manager Parmeshwar Funkwal conducted inspection of the Koraput-Kothavalasa railway sectionon Friday.Railway officials said the inspection aimed to assess critical infrastructure and review ongoing development projects along the rail corridor. “Vital engineering structures like tunnels, bridges, major curves and safety retention walls were thoroughly inspected along the route, said Funkwal.He also visited Koraput, Araku and Chimidipalli stations to examine the progress of various works. At Koraput station, Funkwal reviewed the double-line construction and checked facilities like waiting halls, toilets, parking zones and safety arrangements in the station yard. “Passenger safety is our top priority.
