Thane: A state excise department official in Virar and her aide were trapped and detained by the Thane unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe from a local businessman for operating a beer shop. According to ACB officials, Shweta Naik (54), a sub-inspector in the excise department, sent her aide, Tanesh Patil (23), to collect bribe on her behalf from the complainant on Friday.
