Bhubaneswar: A woman recovered her misplaced bag containing jewellery valued at more than Rs 20 lakh on Tuesday after Bhubaneswar police analysed footage from over 50 CCTV cameras.
Jhili Das (32) was travelling in an auto-rickshaw from Soubhagya Nagar to Fire Station chowk early Monday when she discovered her bag was missing near CRP Square. She reported the incident at Khandagiri police station.
“We checked over 50 CCTV cameras on the route and found that her bag accidentally fell on the road from the autorickshaw. Driver of another autorickshaw kept the bag. He should have informed the police. We have arrested the driver, Prakash Sahoo, on charges of theft and recovered her lost gold articles,” a police officer said.TNN
