Protest in front of OSSC office over question paper gaffe | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Aspirants staged a demonstration in front of the office of Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Monday, demanding the cancellation of the combined recruitment exam for the posts of traffic sub-inspector (SI) and excise SI after receiving out-of-syllabus questions.
Candidates who appeared for the exam on Sunday were confused after receiving questions that were out of syllabus. It did not have questions from Odia language, general English, general studies and other topics mentioned in the syllabus. The OSSC, in a notification, had expressed regret for the error.
Following the protest by a group of aspirants, two of them were allowed to talk to OSSC chairman Abhay. He advised the protestors to send their opinions via email by May 4. The commission will then take the next step.
Higher education minister Suryabanshi Suraj said that those involved in the question paper gaffe will not be spared. “We will investigate the matter,” the minister assured.
