Hyderabad: Residential communities in Hyderabad took out candlelight processions on Sunday to condemn the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Slogans like ‘We are united’ and ‘We want justice’ were raised by the protesters to express solidarity with the victims of the terror attack.

Nuka Kishore of Vertex Prime locality, Nizampet, said, “The participation of residents of all ages and backgrounds reflects the true strength of our society — a community where every generation stands united against terrorism. It was a powerful demonstration of our collective resolve against violence and our unwavering commitment to peace, unity and justice. The march also demonstrated the deep sense of patriotism and national spirit that resides in each and every one of us.”
The march, which involved over 100 residents, took place along the main road to Nizampet X Road.
Earlier in the week, the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Telangana, had also organised a candlelight march titled ‘in grief, in anger, in solidarity.’ The march started from KBR Park and ended at the Jubilee Hills Check Post.
Vijaya Sai Meka, president of NAREDCO Telangana, said, “The Phalagam terrorist attack is not only an attack on innocent lives but an attack on humanity and peace. Through this candlelight march, we stand together in grief, outrage and unwavering solidarity with the victims and their families. NAREDCO Telangana believes in nurturing communities not just through buildings, but through compassion and collective strength in times of need.”
