Pappu alleges conspiracy in extortion case | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Friday said that he did not know the businessman, who recently registered an extortion case against him. He alleged that there was a conspiracy to implicate him in false cases. Yadav claimed that the plan to implicate him was made in Patna by a big political leader from Bihar, two businessmen and a former MLA from Purnia, and one businessman from Madhepura.
A furniture businessman lodged an extortion complaint against the newly elected Member of Parliament (MP), Pappu Yadav, and his associate at the Muffasil police station in Purnia district on June 10. According to the complaint, Pappu’s associate had demanded an extortion of Rs 1 crore on June 4.
Yadav said there is a conspiracy to kill him during the election period. “I was supposed to be provided Y-category security by the district administration, but this has not happened,” said Yadav.
“I have never been so hurt in my entire life. A case was filed against me in connivance with the police station in-charge on the complaint of a person whom I had never me,” said Yadav.
