Bengaluru: A private company employee and his wife and daughter are battling for life after their son suffering from mental distress stabbed them with a knife in their house in Vinayaka Layout, Medarahalli, north Bengaluru, Monday night.
The boy studies BE in a private college, while his sister graduated in engineering and was looking for a job.
The boy, with a history of anxiety and mental distress, attacked his parents and sister with a kitchen knife when he was called for dinner, police said. A few minutes earlier, he had called the police control room claiming that someone was trying to kill him. By the time cops arrived, they found the house door locked from inside. They broke open the door to find three members of the family lying in a pool of blood.
Police rushed the three to a hospital, where their condition remains critical. The boy has also been admitted to a hosptial for treatment, police said.
