Thilagabama should resign: PMK gen secy – The Times of India

Chennai: PMK general secretary Vadivel Ravanan on Monday condemned party treasurer Thilagabama for accusing party founder S Ramadoss of undermining democracy within the organisation. He demanded that she resign from the party for making such an accusation.
In a statement, Ravanan said Ramadoss always upheld democratic values and the ideology of social justice within the PMK.
“Without even a shred of gratitude in her heart, Thilagabama ridiculed Dr Ayya (Ramadoss). The best course of action for her now is to immediately step down from the party,” he said.
Ravanan described Thilagabama’s accusation as “immature and baseless”.
He said, “Thilagabama joined the party only recently. She lacks any real understanding of PMK’s principles and ideology. She never participated in any of the protests, demonstrations, rallies, conferences, or public meetings organised by the party over the past 35 years. She is not a comrade of the working class but rather a member of the elite. She was appointed treasurer solely based on the recommendation and support of Dr Ayya,” he said.
Ravanan went on to describe Thilagabama as “politically naive and clueless”. He also demanded that Thilagabama should retract her statements.
