Park Hyatt Fire: Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Safely Evacuated Amidst Blaze in Banjara Hills | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: A fire broke out at the Park Hyatt hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on Monday at around 8.45am due to a suspected short circuit.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
The hotel, which is hosting the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) IPL 2025 team, was affected by the blaze.
According to an officer from the Jubilee Hills fire station, the fire started in the lobby area on the first floor and spread quickly.
The officer said that it appeared to be caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
Despite the thick smoke that filled the building, the fire was not major and was contained within two hours.
Guests and staff were evacuated, and though panic ensued, most of the hotel guests managed to reach the ground floor on their own before firefighters arrived.
Fire tenders were dispatched from the Jubilee Hills fire station, and the flames were fully extinguished by 11am.
Sources confirmed that the Sunrisers Hyderabad team was staying on the fifth floor of the multi-storeyed building at the time of the incident.
