Navi Mumbai: The Rabale MIDC police have booked an ex-corporator of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) for allegedly raping a 45-year-old woman. The woman in her complaint alleged that the accused, Ramashish Yadav (60), promised financial assistance and maintained physical relations since 2005. API Sangram Sabale confirmed that Yadav has absconded after the FIR. The accused has a prior criminal record involving similar charges, police said. — George Mendonca
