Nod for joint redevelopment of two Mhada layouts in city – The Times of India

Mumbai: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the joint redevelopment of two Mhada layouts—Adarsh Nagar in Worli and Bandra Reclamation in the suburbs.
“Permission has been granted for the redevelopment of some cooperative housing societies under Mhada in Bandra Reclamation and Adarsh Nagar Worli. The cabinet meeting approved the appointment of a Construction and Development Agency through Mhada without giving approval for the redevelopment of the remaining single buildings, excluding the plots for which such permission has been granted,” said a press release. The cabinet approved a floor space index (FSI) of four for the redevelopment. Mhada will get housing stock equivalent to one FSI in both layouts. While the Bandra Reclamation Mhada layout is spread over about 2 lakh sq m, it has 52 buildings with 1,688 residential units. The Adarsh Nagar layout is spread over 68,000 sq m and has 58 buildings with 863 residential units. tnn
