BENGALURU: City police have registered a suo motu case after CCTV footage emerged on social media showing a man molesting a woman at Bharati Layout in Suddaguntepalya in the early hours of April 3.
The video, captured around 1.52 am, shows the man approaching two women walking through a narrow lane and forcibly pushing one of them against a wall before fleeing the scene.
“The video clearly shows the man molesting one of the women and running away. We have booked a case of stalking and sexual harassment under the relevant sections, and efforts are on to trace the victim so that we can file a formal complaint,” said an investigating officer.
