BJP to intensify drive as it targets 1 cr members in state | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: The BJP state unit on Sunday expressed confidence that its membership will reach close to one crore in the coming days. The party’s current membership is around 40 lakh.
Speaking at BJP’s foundation day celebration, state president Manmohan Samal said the party’s membership drive will be intensified in every block and panchayat.
“Our growing membership numbers reflect the increasing trust of people in BJP and the vision and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Samal said.
Party functionaries said the membership drive is part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen its organisational structure at the ground level.
“We will be launching a comprehensive campaign to reach every village and hamlet in Odisha. Our karyakartas will connect with people from all walks of life to expand the party’s base,” Samal explained.
Party officials revealed that special teams would be deployed at block and panchayat levels to facilitate the membership process. The drive will focus particularly on engaging youth and first-time voters.
The foundation day celebration saw participation from senior party leaders and workers, who pledged to work towards achieving the ambitious membership target while promoting the party’s ideology and development agenda.
Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP’s Odisha in-charge, Vijaypal Singh Tomar, were present as chief guests and addressed the gathering.
