Co-op bank GM’s brain mapping test report positive

Mumbai: The city Economic Offences Wing (EOW), probing the Rs 122 crore cash missing case from the New India Cooperative Bank, on Friday received the report of a brain mapping test conducted on the bank’s arrested GM and head of accounts, Hitesh Mehta. Police said the results of the test are positive.
“It is indicative of his and other accused’s involvement in the scam,” said an EOW officer.
Mehta, 57, was arrested in Feb, days after the fraud came to light. He was subjected to a lie-detector test on Feb 11, but the results were deceptive. He was then subjected to a brain electrical oscillation signature profiling, a forensic psychology technique, on Feb 28. — Mateen Hafeez
