NEW DELHI: Police have registered a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao and other party members for allegedly spreading fake news on X (formerly Twitter).
The case was filed at a police station in Nalgonda district, Telangana, against KTR, along with BRS members Mannem Krishan and Konatham Dhilip Kumar and others.
The complaint was lodged by Chougoni Rajitha, the municipal chairman of Nakrekal town, who accused the defendants of circulating false information regarding her involvement in the SSC Telugu Board exam question paper leak case, news agency ANI reported citing Nalgonda Police.
