One dead, another injured after fire breaks out at 13-storey building in Mumbai | Mumbai News – The Times of India

MUMBAI: One person died, and another sustained injuries after a fire broke out in a 13-storey residential building in Vidya Vihar early Monday morning.
The blaze erupted around 4.30 am at Takshshila CHS, Neelkanth Kingdom Complex, Nathani Road, near Vidyavihar Station.
According to the fire brigade, the fire was confined to electrical wiring, installations, household articles, wooden furniture, an AC unit, and clothes in at least five flats on the first and second floors.
Firefighters rescued around 20 residents from the building. The fire was brought under control and completely extinguished by 8.40 am.
Two security guards sustained injuries in the incident. Uday Gangan, 43, was critically injured and declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Another guard, Sabhajit Yadav, 52, suffered 25-30% burns and is currently undergoing treatment at Rajawadi Hospital. His condition is reported to be stable.
