Rourkela: A special Pocso court on Tuesday sentenced a 28-year-old man to rigorous life imprisonment for the rape and murder of a four-year-old girl in 2017. According to the prosecution, the incident took place on Feb 20, 2017, when the accused sexually assaulted and killed the minor. Her body was discovered the following day, leading to the registration of a case. The judge pronounced the verdict after examining 26 witnesses. The accused, who has been in judicial custody since his arrest on Feb 21, 2017, was found guilty of all charges.
