Chennai: A 13-year-old boy was detained under the Pocso Act, on charges of sexually abusing a one-year-old boy at Anna Nagar on Monday.
Police said the teenager, a resident of Anna Nagar, allegedly took the child to a secluded place and sexually abused him on Monday night.
The Thirumangalam all-women police registered a case based on a complaint from the child’s parents.
Police detained the juvenile and he was lodged at the correctional home for boys in Kellys after being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB).
He was also taken to the govt general hospital for medical examination. Further investigations are underway.
