The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the final number of vacancies for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2024 on its official website, ssc.gov.in. According to the latest update from SSC, a total of 11,518 positions will be filled through this recruitment process. Of these, 8,079 vacancies are allocated for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), while 3,439 are for the Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) post.
The SSC MTS and Havaldar Computer-Based Test (CBT) was conducted from September 30 to November 11, 2023, at multiple centers across the country.

Initially, the commission advertised 4,887 vacancies, which were later increased to 6,144. When 3,439 Havaldar vacancies were added, the total stood at 9,583. With the latest announcement, the overall vacancies have now reached 11,518.

Selection for Physical Efficiency and Standard Tests

Based on their CBT performance, 27,011 candidates have been shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
SSC clarified that candidates failing the PET/PST will not be considered for the Havaldar post. However, if they qualify for the MTS post, their candidature will remain valid for that position. The final results for both MTS and Havaldar will be announced together after the completion of the PET/PST round.
