Cuttack: Orissa high court on Friday reserved its judgment on a petition seeking medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) of a 13-year-old rape survivor, whose pregnancy has exceeded 24 weeks. A revised medical report submitted in the HC on Friday highlighted possible complications if the pregnancy continues its full term. After reviewing the report, Justice SK Panigrahi closed the hearing and reserved judgment. The petition was filed by the minor’s father. The girl, who suffers from sickle cell anaemia and epilepsy, became pregnant as a result of rape. TNN
