Swearing-In Ceremony: Capital decked up for swearing-in ceremony | Bhubaneswar News



Bhubaneswar: The state capital is all decked up, with giant cutouts and hoardings dotting the skyline amid the glitter of dazzling lights for the swearing-in ceremony of new chief minister and ministers. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 4.45 pm at Janata Maidan on Wednesday.
Apart from Janata Maidan, which has been meticulously decorated throughout its 10 acres of area, all major thoroughfares of the city have been lit up with BJP flags unfurled everywhere.Huge cut-outs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been put up along the over 5km stretch from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Janata Maidan. Trees along the road have been lit up with applique lanterns while govt buildings are glittering with decorative lights. Digital screens put up at the venue displaying the happenings of the event.
Besides Modi, senior BJP leaders and ministers like Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, state observer Bhupender Yadav, Union cabinet ministers like Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, Ashwini Vaishnaw, chief ministers of BJP-led states and former CM Naveen Patnaik, among others, are likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
Eminent persons from Odisha and Odias residing outside the state have been invited to attend the function. All Padma awardees in the state have been invited, including many religious leaders who are likely to attend the ceremony. Around 30,000 people are expected to witness the grand event.
The excitement among the public is palpable. Streets are buzzing with activity, and conversations about the new government are everywhere. Citizens are expressing their anticipation and hopes for the future. “This victory feels like a new dawn for Odisha. We are hopeful that the new govt will bring significant changes and development,” said Priyanka Mohanty, a local teacher, as she admired the decorations around the city.
Senior BJP leaders and party workers have been working tirelessly to ensure that the event is a grand success. “It’s a celebration of democracy and the people’s mandate. The grand event is poised to leave a mark on the hearts of the people, setting the stage for a new era of governance and development in Odisha,” said Sujit Kumar Das, a BJP leader.
