Two held for sexually assaulting woman | Chennai News – The Times of India

Chennai: Two people, including a 17-year-old boy, were arrested by the Chengalpet police on Sunday for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman at knifepoint inside her house.
Police said that the survivor, who works for a private firm, was living with her friends. On Friday, after work, she returned to her second-floor apartment.
Knowing she was alone, the accused, S Arun, 29, who runs a tea shop on the ground floor of the building, and his 17-year-old friend followed her and forced their way into her house.
Arun and the boy attempted to pull the woman’s dress at knifepoint. When she raised an alarm, they ran away.
She alerted the police control room and later filed a complaint. A team of policemen from the Chengalpet All Women Police Station arrested the two on Saturday. While Arun was remanded in judicial custody, the minor was sent to an observation home.
