Intensify rescue op to save lives of trapped workers, orders Revanth | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy, who is continuously reviewing the status of rescue operations at the SLBC tunnel, has told the ministers, officials, and rescue teams to intensify the efforts to save the trapped workers.
The CM spoke to ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao, and officials who are closely monitoring the rescue operations for the second day on Sunday to save the trapped eight workers in the tunnel.
Along with the Indian Army, the Indian Navy is also pressed into service. NDRF and SDRF agencies are already jointly conducting a rescue operation. The officials briefed the CM that seepage of water in the tunnel emerged as a challenge to the rescue operation.
Arrangements have been made to continuously draw out water and supply oxygen in the tunnel. Rescue teams are removing mud mounds in the tunnel and examining alternative routes to reach the accident site, officials told the CM.
