Young accident victim saved by IGH medical team | Bhubaneswar News

Rourkela: A 19-year-old accident victim‘s life was saved by the dedicated medical team at Ispat General Hospital (IGH) after multiple surgeries. The youth, son of an RSP employee, suffered severe head injury, a fractured left arm and multiple facial fractures in a road accident on Jan 13. He was admitted in a nearly comatose state with brain bleeding (right frontal contusion).
Dr Manoj Kumar Deo performed the neurosurgical procedure on the day of admission. A week later, a surgery for facial bone fracture was conducted by Dr G S Sahoo and Dr Ruby Singh, while orthopaedic surgeons Dr S K Tiwary and Dr S Rout operated on his fractured arm. Dr Sanjukta Panigrahi provided anaesthesia and ICU support. The patient was discharged on Feb 17.
