Chennai: NTK chief coordinator Seeman on Wednesday made a veiled attack on actor and TVK founder Vijay over his meeting with political strategist Prashant Kishor on Monday.
Seeman had come to appear in a court at Cheyyar in Tiruvannamalai district in connection with a defamation case filed by PMK over a 2022 speech.
Responding to a question from reporters outside the court, the NTK chief said, “I don’t believe in having strategists for elections. Did Kamaraj, Annadurai, or Omandur Ramasamy Reddy have such strategists? Without knowing the people and the geography of the land, why should anyone come to politics? I have sufficient knowledge, but don’t have money. Only those who are rich and arrogant will have such strategists.”
Hitting out at Prashant Kishor, he said, “What does he know about Tamil Nadu? Does he know the society or geography or the problems faced by people of the state? The disease (of appointing political strategists) has affected TN of late”. Seeman also attacked the DMK, alleging that the party won the Erode East by-poll through booth rigging.
