The package includes 83 projects worth Rs 829.76 crore and foundation stones for 77 new ones valued at Rs 170 crore. These initiatives span various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure and tourism.
A major highlight of the event was inauguration of Jajati Keshari Medical College and Hospital, which was allocated 50 MBBS seats for the first academic year.

The CM announced plans to increase its seats to 100 from the next academic session.
Several key infrastructure projects were announced, including development of Maa Biraja Temple complex for Rs 50 crore, a new bus terminal at Rs 30 crore, Biraja Agnishwar market development at Rs 21.43 crore, and expansion of the temple dharmashala at the cost of Rs 10 crore.
Speaking at the event, Majhi emphasised Jajpur’s industrial potential, revealing that the district attracted investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore. He also announced the upcoming construction of a crude oil storage facility by Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited, at an investment of Rs 8,743 crore. It is expected to generate over 5,000 jobs.
“Jajpur, with its rich historical legacy and industrial prowess, is poised to become the industrial capital of our state,” he said. Majhi highlighted the district’s strategic importance in Odisha’s development narrative, particularly noting its evolution from being the ancient capital of Utkal to its current status as the state’s steel hub.
Majhi also acknowledged the district’s cultural heritage, particularly the Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri and Udayagiri, while emphasising the govt’s commitment to preserving and promoting local traditions alongside modern development.
