Four killed in separate road accidents – The Times of India

Chennai: In separate road accidents, four people, including two women riding pillion with their husbands, were killed on Friday. The two others were newly married men, according to police.
In the first incident, a 25-year-old woman, Jennifer, died after a truck ran over her, killing her on the spot at Ambattur Kallikuppam. She was on her way to distribute invitations for her son’s birthday.

Her husband, Nagaraj, who was riding the bike, escaped with minor injuries, said police.
In the accident reported at Maduravoyal, a 50-year-old woman, Isakki Ammal, was on her way to watch a film with her husband, Perumal, 55. At Vanagaram traffic junction, Perumal lost control and fell. The woman came under the wheels of a truck and died on the spot.
Near Gummidipoondi, a bike rider, Mano, 27, was killed after a mini lorry hit him at a curve. Police said Mano had only got married three months ago.
In another accident, newly married Udayakumar, 26, who was on his way to meet his friends in Pitchattur hit a median and fell on the road while travelling on the six-lane corridor.
