Hoax bomb threat to flight from Frankfurt – The Times of India
Chennai: After a nine-hour flight from Frankfurt, 174 Lufthansa passengers and crew had to spend another hour in the plane at Chennai airport because of a bomb threat.
The plane (LH-758)was moved to a corner of the airport for a search by the bomb squad.
The threat was received through email and the pilot was informed about it by the air controller as soon as the flight landed at 12.22am on Tuesday.
During the search, passengers were busy filming the bomb squad and calling up family.
After safety protocols concluded according to the Aircraft (Security) Rules, the bomb squad confirmed the threat to be a hoax and allowed the plane to be moved to its designated bay.
The incident caused a stir at the airport and delayed the return flight to Frankfurt.
