Mumbai: Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the state govt to inform it whether it set up a website for citizens to send online complaints to the police complaints authority.
A bench led by Chief Justice Alok Aradhe was hearing an interim plea in a pending petition seeking police reforms. Government pleader Poornima Kantharia said in compliance with the Supreme Court’s 2006 judgment, the Maharashtra Police Act was amended to provide for PCAs. Also, PCAs are set up at state, divisional, and district levels. tnn
