Mumbai: A 30-year-old man was beaten to death allegedly by the manager and staff of Headquarters Restaurant & Bar in Ghatkopar East on Saturday. The Pant Nagar police have booked the manager and eight to nine unknown staffers on charges of murder and are looking for them.
According to the police, Harsh and his father went to the bar to meet an acquaintance, Santosh Shetty. However, a confrontation broke out when they introduced Shetty to the manager. Enraged, the manager, along with 8-9 waiters, allegedly started assaulting Harsh. His father, who tried to intervene, was also attacked and sustained head injuries. Police said Harsh was taken home but was found unresponsive the next morning. He was rushed to Cooper Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Harsh died due to head injuries.
