Prayagraj: State Tourism & Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, after reviewing the preparations at Mela area said that Maha Kumbh is a symbol of Indian faith and the state govt is making efforts to ensure that every devotee returning from Kumbh has a pleasant experience.
Minister said that regional artists will showcase their talent through 20 small platforms for 45 days. He also mentioned that grand drone shows and laser shows will be organised during the Maha Kumbh.
Singh further stated that Kumbh will provide an opportunity for the confluence of artists from all over the country. All facilities are being made available so that people can experience the grandeur, divinity, and supernaturality of the Maha Kumbh.
Moreover, UPSTDC has prepared various tour packages for tourists. He also mentioned the ‘Maha Kumbh-2025 Prelude’ organised by the UP Tourism department in Delhi. He said that the Governors, Chief Ministers, and LGs of the states and union territories have been invited to take a dip of faith in Mahakumbh. Besides, ambassadors of various countries have also been requested to mark their presence.
The UP State Pavilion is being set up on five acres by the tourism department, in which a total of 12 circuits will be displayed. Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, Prayagraj, Kushinagar, Sarnath, Naimisharanya, and other important places will be shown on the big map through 3D technology.
UP Tourism Department’s Special Secretary Tourism Isha Priya said a website and app have been created for all the information related to Maha Kumbh-2025. As many as 990 tourism guides, and 1,500 vendors have been trained. Besides, 1,000 taxi-auto drivers and 600 sailors have received special training in storytelling. Similarly, the department has made arrangements for maps, booklets, etc., for tourists. Booklets will be available in all the languages of India, so those coming from other states do not face any problems. Through the app, tourists/devotees can also get information about nearby tourist places. He said stalls will be set up under ODOP. Similarly, rural tourism will be promoted through items made by rural women. Special information can be obtained from the fair centre.
