Light rain likely in 7 dists during weekend: IMD | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: As many as seven districts — Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore — are likely to experience light rainfall on Saturday and Sunday, according to the IMD forecast on Thursday. The rainfall activity will be triggered by a western disturbance.
On Friday, the weather will remain dry. Manorama Mohanty, scientist and head of regions IMD centre, said the prevailing trend of night temperature would see no large change during next 3-4 days. Thereafter, minimum temperature would see a fall by 2-4°C.
The state in last 24 hours, however, experienced light to moderate rainfall in some districts under influence of a low pressure system. Narla in Kalahandi district recorded highest, 84mm, rainfall, IMD’s rainfall report in the morning stated. The city recorded 28.3mm rainfall.
Hill station Koraput at 12.4°C, recorded lowest minimum temperature on Thursday in the state. Jagatsinghpur followed with a minimum temperature of 14°C.
