Bihar: Two police constables injured in encounter with wanted criminals in Madhubani | Patna News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Two police constables suffered severe injuries during a confrontation with three wanted criminals in Bihar‘s Madhubani district on Friday evening, according to officials.
The encounter reportedly took place around 8:00 pm in the Jayanagar area, as per police sources. Jayanagar police station officials had received information about three wanted criminals who were heading towards Dullipati via Jayanagar.
Acting on the tip-off, a police team initiated an operation to apprehend the wanted criminals.The wanted criminals were spotted at Narar Training Chowk, and when the police team ordered them to surrender, they instead fired at the police personnel.
During the exchange of fire, two police constables, identified as Mahmood Alam and Rahul Kumar, were hit by bullets. The injured constables were immediately taken to the local sub-divisional hospital for initial treatment and were later referred to Cribs Hospital in Madhubani for advanced care.
Officials have stated that the injured constables are now out of danger.
In the meantime, Jayanagar Police have initiated a search operation to locate and arrest the accused criminals involved in the incident.
