Missing teen found dead in Jamui district | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: An 18-year-old youth, missing for the last two days, was found dead in a pit of an agricultural field in Khaira police station area of Jamui district on Wednesday morning. Four of his friends have been arrested on the charge of his murder, said police.
The body of deceased Satyadev Arya was spotted by the local residents in the bean field, a kilometre away from his house in Navdiha village in the area, following which the police were informed.Police retrieved the body from the pit, and sent it to Jamui Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
Sadar sub-divisional police officer Satish Suman said there were several injury marks on the body. “An FIR has been registered based on the basis of the statements of the family members of the deceased. Initial investigations suggest that the matter is related to a love affair.”
According to the FIR, Arya was last seen at a village meeting being held at a local govt school, where he had gone with his relatives late on Monday evening.
