Patna: Patna University (PU), at a meeting of the principals of all its colleges held here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor (VC) K C Sinha, decided to announce the first merit list of applicants selected for admission to the four-year undergraduate programmes on June 8. The last date for submission of online applications for admission ended on Tuesday.
PU students’ welfare dean Anil Kumar said that nearly 12,000 students have applied for admission against 4,500 seats in the regular (conventional) BA, BSc and BCom honours courses as well as self-financing (vocational) courses in different colleges of PU in the 2024-25 session.“The merit list of these applicants will be prepared based on marks obtained by them in the Intermediate examinations as the university did not hold any entrance test for admission this year,” he said.
Giving the details of the process of admission, Kumar said the merit list of candidates will be uploaded on the PU website on June 8. The candidates will have to download their allotment letter with the help of their application ID and password. Further, after depositing the fee online, candidates would report for admission to the concerned college with the allotment letter, payment slip, print of application form and all their certificates from June 10 to 12.
