Murder Shocks Bhojpur: Young Sand Trader Gunned Down in Early Morning Attack | Patna News – Times of India
Ara: A 25-year-old man associated with the sand trade was shot dead early Monday morning by unidentified miscreants at Tirthkaul village under the Sandesh police station area in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Shri Ram Singh, son of one Baliram Singh, a resident of Repura village under the Sandesh police station.
SHO of Sandesh police station, Santosh Kumar, said, “The deceased was a named accused in a murder case of a sand trader that had occurred under the Rani Talab police station under the Paliganj sub-division of the Patna district in November 2023. Since then, he was on the run. The police had also attached his property as he was absconding from the law enforcement agencies.”
An FSL team reached the spot and began collecting evidence to ascertain the facts related to the murder case. According to the police, the deceased was shot at close range in the head and his body had been dumped in the bushes of a village orchard. “I had talked to my son over the phone late Sunday night. He told me that he was working at a sand ghat and would return soon. However, when he did not return till the wee hours, we started looking for him. Eventually, a goat rearer saw his body and informed the villagers,” Baliram Singh said.
