Ara: DM Tanai Sultania on Wednesday inspected the dumping yard and proposed industrial cluster site under construction at Bahiyara under Chandi police station of the district.
The dumping yard is being built on 14 bighas of land.
He said: “The dumping yard is being built for effective solid waste management and promoting sanitation in Bhojpur district. The waste collected by the Ara Municipal Corporation will be treated at the dumping yard. By recycling the waste, organic fertilizers can be made,” said the DM.
DM, who was accompanied by Ara municipal commissioner N K Bhagat and Bhojpur DDC Anupama Singh, also directed the officials to build a compost pit at the dumping yard.
The DM inspected the land earmarked for constructing the proposed industrial cluster at Bahiyara. He asked the officials to begin the work soon. He said the industrial cluster will increase industrial activities in the district and create new opportunities for employment.
