NDA’s Strategic Move: Joint District Meetings to Win 2025 Assembly Elections in Bihar | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: The state’s ruling NDA on Monday announced that all five of its constituents in the state would organise joint meetings in all the districts. This initiative aims to ensure better coordination at the grassroots level among the functionaries and workers, with the goal of winning 225 plus seats, out of a total of 243, in the next assembly polls.
“The campaign to organise the district-level joint meetings will begin at Bagaha on January 15 next year and will cover all districts across the state by February 22,” JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said while addressing a joint press conference of the five NDA constituents at the party office here.
Senior leaders of all five NDA constituents, namely the BJP, chief minister Nitish Kumar-led JD(U), Union minister Chirag Paswan-led LJP (RV), Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM-S, and former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), were present at the joint press conference.
Kushwaha said the state presidents of all five NDA constituents would be present at the district-level joint meetings to interact with workers of all the alliance partners. He also said the decision to hold the district-level joint meetings was taken at a recent meeting of the NDA held at the residence of chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Kushwaha also said that the CM has given the target of winning more than 225 seats, out of the total 243, in the 2025 assembly polls. “Our national president Nitish Kumar Ji wants the NDA to better its record of 2010 when the JD(U)-BJP combine bagged 206 seats in the state,” the JD(U) state president said.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP state president Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said all the constituents of the NDA are committed to unitedly fighting the 2025 assembly polls. “We are working in the direction of achieving the target of jointly winning 225 plus seats in Bihar,” Jaiswal said.
LJP (RV) state president Raju Tiwari, HAM-S state president Anil Kumar, and RLM state chief Madan Chaudhary also addressed the press conference and expressed their commitment to achieving the target of 225 plus seats in the next assembly polls.
