1 dead, 1 hurt in two firing incidents in Madhepura | Patna News – Times of India
Madhepura: In two separate incidents of firing in Madhepura district, a dairy operator was shot dead in Shyam village under Gwalpara police station, while a local RJD worker was injured in Murliganj area late on Saturday.
Dairy owner Saurabh Kumar was on his way back home from the establishment, barely 500m away, when bike-borne criminals intercepted him and shot at his neck.The criminals then fled the spot.
By the time the villagers came there hearing the gunshots, the victim had died. On being informed, Gwalpara station house officer (SHO) Vijay Kumar Paswan rushed to spot and sent the body to Madhepura for postmortem. “We are waiting for a written complaint to take further action,” the SHO said.
In a similar incident, three bike-borne criminals shot at RJD worker Pradeep Yadav, a Kolhaipatti resident, before fleeing the spot brandishing firearms.
He was admitted to Madhepura’s Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College and Hospital. Murliganj police have started a probe.
