Buxar: Buxar police rescued a boy on Friday, within 24 hours of his kidnapping, and arrested five accused from Ara in Bhojpur district. Buxar SP Shubham Arya said that Itadhi SHO received a written complaint about the kidnap of one Shubham Kumar, alias Lucky, who had gone out of his house in Mohanpur village to get medicine on Thursday. “His mother Baby Devi alleged the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 6 lakh. During investigation, it came to light that the kidnappers had called from the cellphone of the boy,” the SPsaid.
He added after verification of the received information and necessary action, a team was formed under the leadership of Buxar deputy SP Dheeraj Kumar. “Based on technical evidence, the police team conducted continuous raids in Ara and arrested five people — Ramesh Kumar Bhat, Ritu Paswan, Vikas Kumar, Tunu Kumar Singh and Aman Raj — involved in the kidnapping and rescued the teenager safely,” the SP said, adding he was kidnapped from Dildarnagar railway station. “The boy told us that he was locked in the bathroom of a train. The kidnappers alighted with the boy near Ara ,” said the SP.
