Odhisa CM Mohan Majhi visits Singapore to attract investments for 'Utkarsh Odisha summit' 2025

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Mohan Majhi embarked on his maiden international investors’ meet to Singapore on Saturday, ahead of the upcoming Utkarsh Odisha 2025 summit scheduled for January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking to the media at Bhubaneswar International Airport, CM Majhi expressed confidence in attracting substantial investments to the state. “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, I am leading a high-level delegation to position Odisha as India’s premier investment destination,” he said.
The visit aims to showcase Odisha’s industrial potential to global companies operating in Singapore across various sectors, including chemicals, petrochemicals, green energy, logistics, shipbuilding, and electronics. The delegation will tour world-class facilities such as Tuas Port, Jurong Petrochemical Complex, and ITEES Singapore to study their advanced systems for implementation in Odisha.
“Our state offers abundant natural resources, a skilled workforce, and progressive industrial policies,” Majhi emphasised. “We’re fully prepared for business and ready to play a significant role in India’s growth story.”
The chief minister will also engage with the Odia diaspora in Singapore and neighbouring ASEAN countries to strengthen bilateral relations. “Our overseas community has been instrumental in promoting Odia culture and fostering Singapore-Odisha ties,” he added.
The visit is expected to generate substantial investment opportunities in various sectors, potentially creating significant employment prospects for Odisha’s youth. The delegation’s efforts align with the state’s preparations for the biennial investors summit in January.
