Governor Arlekar Commits to Addressing Issues at Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University | Patna News – Times of India

My doors always open for students, teachers: Arlekar

Bhagalpur: Governor-cum-chancellor of universities Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Friday urged students, teachers and non-teaching staff of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) to approach him directly regarding genuine academic or administrative issues. “My doors are always open for resolving the problems plaguing students, teachers and non-teaching staff across universities,” he said.
Regarding the assault on TMBU registrar Vikas Chandra by staff members on November 12, Arlekar warned against activities that tarnish the university’s image. “Such incidents will not be tolerated and disciplinary action will be taken against those involved,” he said.
Regarding flooding issues on the TMBU campus, including girls’ hostels and faculty residences, Arlekar asked the university to develop a comprehensive plan. “Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University must address the flooding issues and remove encroachments on university land,” he said.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Tilka Manjhi Multipurpose Indoor Stadium (TMIS), the governor called for its proper utilization. “The stadium must serve the purpose it was built for — sporting activities only,” he said.
