3-day cricket tournament for Mahadalit kids

Ara: The three-day ‘Mata Shabri Cricket Tournament’, aimed at combining sports with educational motivation for Mahadalit children, began on Friday at Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium here. Organised by an NGO focused on uplifting the Musahar community, the tournament features 20 teams from Mahadalit localities. It was inaugurated by state health and commercial tax secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, VKSU vice-chancellor Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi, Bhojpur DM Tanai Sultania, FUTAB working president Kanhaiya Bahadur Sinha and industrialist and social activist Ajay Kumar Singh.
Speaking at the event, Sanjay Kumar Singh said, “Among legendary heroes, Karna stands out as someone who rose from obscurity to greatness. This unique tournament will unearth talent and inspire the entire Mahadalit community..”
