Mumbai: Bombay high court vacation bench on Friday asked an organisation which sought a stay on state’s new diktat to charge Rs 200 for medical examination of cattle ahead of Eid, to make a representation to the government first. The government can then decide on such representation by June 16 before the forthcoming Bakri Eid said the court. The cattle is examined before its sacrifice.The charge was Rs 20 earlier said the petitioners Al Quraish Human Welfare Organisation and others. Jyoti Chavan, additional govt pleader, said the price was adequately and justifiably raised by the state. tnn
